Artificial Intelligence in Business: Blessing or a Curse? To understand AI in business we must first figure out what artificial intelligence (AI) is? It can be defined as the simulation of human intelligence process by machines, scary stuff!, particularly computer systems. Some applications of AI may include; natural language processing, speech recognition and machine vision. Is AI out to replace us in the future?  Is AI a curse to businesses? Here are some potential challenges, and possible solutions, that businesses may face if they chose to incorporate AI  (Forbes, 2023) . Lack of expertise: To tackle this issue you could train, collaborate, hire and use user-friendly tools. Building internal expertise is vital for successful AI adoption.  3 Trailhead Courses That Peaked My Interest

The 3 trailhead courses I decided to complete are; Emotional Intelligence, as I previously encountered this within a module so I wanted to learn more about the subject. Next, Security Awareness and Training, due to the fact that being aware about cybersecurity is crucial in todays digital world. Finally, Artificial Intelligence, because its the hot topic of todays cyber space.

Key Takeaways from the Emotional Intelligence trail
Upon completing this course I was able to identify the 4 elements of emotional intelligence, those being; self awareness, self management, empathy and skilled relationship. I read up on the benefits of each of these elements and also the benefit of being emotionally intelligent. After this I learned how the Amygdala can hijack control of your response to a situation, the Amygdala is responsible for emotion and emotional learning. The Amygdala is tricky as it affects a system that acts independently from, and bypasses, the neocortex, which is responsible for rationality, therefore making you react irrationally depending on what emotion you are feeling at that moment.

Key Takeaways from the Artificial Intelligence trial
I struggled with this trail quite a bit as it was all new to me. I have never previously delved into the area of AI. A module within this trail which I was familiar with was the 'Correlation and Regression' module. This topic is something I am currently studying as part of Introductory Econometrics. As for AI itself, I have learned that Artificial Intelligence is the ability for a computer to perform skills associated with human intuition, inference, and reasoning. AI skills currently are very specialized, and fall into some broad categories like numeric predictions and language processing.

Key Takeaways from the Security Awareness trail
The final trail I completed was one about cyber security. I learned what it means to build security awareness into an organisation. I found out about the importance of security awareness and also discovered the responsibilities and skills of a security awareness specialist.
